A Religion In Need Of Redemption
Generally, religion figures human beings need redemption. Now, we note, at least one religion is in dire need of redemption - Islam. The explosive evidence speaks for itself - unfortunately, louder than any other voice in Islam. But can enough Muslims be convinced that their religion needs salvation? If a humor magazine can't do it, who can? Here's a short course, called Good Religion 101. Is a religion supposed to be an enhancement of life or a liability against it? What is its merit to the living when it becomes a liability against life? For that matter, what is its merit to the ultimate source of life - in this context, taken to be Allah, the one true pal of us all? To be meritorious, a religion must be primarily about the sanctity of life, not the sanctity of death. The more it subordinates life, which is what we have in our care, the more it has gone wrong.

You Must Feel Guilty for Being a Rich America
Are you getting tired of feeling guilty for being a rich American? Are you tired of the ads that come on TV and show these poor people who need your help and asking you to give them money? Did you know that many of the people who are poor in these countries are poor for a reason? Did you also know that much of the aid money that is sent is used up in travel or paying off bribery to local officials? Have you ever considered all the corruption in the third world countries and the primate politics and Machiavellian attitude that permeates?

The Gasoline Boycott is Just Plain Silly
Well, recently, we held the perennial gas boycott in the old U.S. of A. All this really does is highlight the gullibility and general lack of understanding of one of the most basic tenants of supply and demand in our society. Americans do a pretty good job of embarrassing themselves on the world stage without having to add fuel to the fire.

Che Guevara - Laying the Ghost to Rest
One of the difficulties in getting to the truth behind the Che legend is that fiction and fact have become virtually indistinguishable. Most of the fiction is a result of the labors of leftist revisionists, focused as they have been on casting a flawed opportunist as a revolutionary hero. The facts, buried behind the virtually impenetrable fog of myth, reveal a man who was very different from the revolutionary hero whose iconic image has ended up on T'shirts in every corner of the globe.

Skepticism And Atheism - A Case Of Judging The Book By Its Cover
It's best to listen to those who truly experienced God's presence rather than to those who believe in God for selfish reasons or, than to those who judge that God does not exist on the basis of what other people say. And usually, they are the ones who don't understand the meaning of believing in God.
