Efficiency Should Impress You - Not Political Ideas
It must be presidential election time again because now all the candidates are coming out with all kinds of political ideas and more than one very smart leader of past periods has told his people that you should not be impressed with political ideas, but rather efficiency should impress you. Indeed, some of these political observers have told us that we must Attack corruption in order to make government fair and efficient. Now that's a political idea I can sink my teeth into.

When You Are Ready to Slash Regulation and Bust Bureaucracy Give Me a Call
As one citizen to another perhaps you will join me in my frustrations over the overregulation and bureaucracy of our government. Our government is our government it is not their government or anyone else's. It belongs to the people and our government does not belong to the nation-state of Mexico or Venezuela or the EU. The United States government is not the French government, is not the British government, is not the Saudi Arabian government and it is certainly not the Chinese government.

Hugo Chavez - I Am The State
Hugo Chavez is making it clear that his vision, and only his vision, will dominate in Venezuelan media. If any proof is required of his intention, one need only look at the crackdowns and threats that have been directed at private media outlets.

Al Gore - The Assault on Reason - A Must Read and a Call to Action
Something is seriously wrong with the way American democracy has been operating for the last few years. Although it's true that The Bush-Cheney team has made some serious mistakes, what's even more troubling is that it exposes our society's underlying vulnerability to the somewhat transparent strategies that were employed. Al Gore's latest book, more than just an expose of the politics of corruption, seeks understanding and remedy. If you are baffled about why there is no oversight and no accountability, if you've been thinking you're in some kind of unbelievable nightmare of a quagmire that must belong in some alternate reality, you need to read this book.

Smaller Scale Terrorist Attacks Cannot Happen in the United States?
A Wisconsin newspaper reports new details on a propane explosion in December of 2006 that killed 3 people. Would a terrorist attack of this scale get more attention than this industrial accident got in December? Almost certainly and that causes us to ask if small scale terrorist attacks in the United States are in our future.

Lebanon's New War
Are you watching the news? It's easy to look at the fighting between the Lebanese Armed Forces and Fatah al-Islam in Lebanon and dismiss this as the usual hodgepodge of conflict associated with the Middle East. After all, we've been seeing this for years. Or have we?

The Political Incorrectness Of Politics
Is it just me, or, is there something very wrong in the world of American Politics? Why should a candidate's gender, religion, or, choice in foods/daily fitness regimen influence a peoples' choice in their being elected?

Take a Minute of Your Time
We are not the Creator of the world and we cannot let our country die from inside while we police the entire world.

What is Happening to America
Unfortunately, the threat of outside forces hurting this country is not near as great as the threat that we are to ourselves. Also, I believe that our leaders are enabling us in our own destruction. First, we have let political correctness go to far we are not fighting those who promote class warfare and we are more concerned about people who come here illegally than we are about the citizens and legal residents of this country. I am ashamed of my government and its leaders right now in so many ways that as of now I will not vote for anyone who currently holds a seat in Congress that represents me.

Big Idea # 1 - Let's Simplify Politics!
Politics is incredibly confusing and frustrating for most Americans these days, and an intelligent simplification of the subject would go a long ways towards rectifying the problem.

Decouple the West Bank and Gaza Strip?
The latest round of violence between Hamas and Fatah signal the need for diplomats to consider decoupling the West Bank and Gaza Strip. With Hamas battling Fatah for control of the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian territories could well be on the way toward splitting into a largely secular West Bank and Islamist Gaza Strip. Even if a temporary truce is reached between the two warring parties, and the shelf-life of such truces has proved short, the fundamental ideological differences that divide the two Palestinian territories will persist. Such differing worldviews will have a potentially major impact on the larger Israeli-Palestinian dispute.

Democrats And Republicans Get Confused About Which Side They're On
Following an appeal that negated Wilson's release from jail, two protest groups organized themselves outside of the courthouse. After separating into Republican and Democrat groups, two party leaders realized simultaneously that they were standing in the wrong crowd.
